Did anyone see it!?

Did anyone see the new Micro Trains Z-scale GP35 in the new MR? I read the review, and I’m simply amazed at how far technology in Z has come.[:O] It’s about as detailed and well proportioned as an average to good quality HO diesel. And remember, it’s only about 3 inches long![:O]

I’d say small railroad technology has come a long way since N was brought out in the 60s.[:D]

Yeah i’m getting jealous of those Z scalers, except for the price.($169.95 or something liike that).

Yes technology has certainly come along.

I started chuckline when I read “minimum radius of 4 1/2”.

That is a pretty tight radius. Just imagine, an entire train layout on one of your drumheads.[:D] Probably the only engine that could take a tighter radius would be an HO or N 0-4-0 Dockside.[:D]

Did anyone catch that amazing Z scale Cab forward several issue back? I be ready for the rubber room if I was responsible for construction of the pre production sample!!! Dave

I saw that, and man, that is small alright. I’ve seen a few Z scale layouts at shows and stuff. I don’t think I could model in a scale that small, you drop a part (or maybe even an engine!) in the carpeting and it’s gone forever! Just a wee bit to small for me…

The good thng is, it is all RTR. No detailing to do. Just pull it out and GO!!!

One of the Z display layouts at the National Train Show was even running a Z scale Alco-GE-IR boxcab! Almost made me switch to Z scale right then and there, as that is one of my favorite locos. Even had a nice scring os 2-bay coal hoppers and a northeastern-style caboose. Hmmm, the entire Reading system on a 4x8… LOL.

I’m with Noah on this one. I think it’s great that they can make things this small, but I could lose a locomotive to an over zealous cat, not just a small part.
