Just Curious. I’d hate to think of Joe and a few others getting to do all the fun DCC questions.
Mouse, you are right Randy hasn’t posted for the last two weeks. He’s probably out having fun somewhere… (I hope!)
He’s on Holiday, get with the programme fellas!!
Ken.
Chip, it’s funny you should mention this. I was just thinking this morning that it’s been awhile since I’ve read or heard anything from Randy. Maybe he finallly got his Reading T1 in the mail…?
Tom
Lucky him! First a holiday, whether or not deserved, and then a brand new T-1, whether or not deserved. And it isn’t even the seasonal-winter-day-off assortment of non-celebratory days. [|(]

Timely subject. I was looking at his profile this morning to see when his last post was. And I’m going to try to do some “surgical” decoder installations this weekend. Who am I supposed to bug when I accidentally solder 3 wires together and then power it up???
Kids don’t try this without adult supervision.
Mark, you can always guarantee that you didn’t do any stupid wiring by grounding the system. All you need is an extension cord that you cut off the the female end. Connect the black wire to the black wire on your decoder. Take the white wire and attach it to your programming track. Don’t plug it in until you have everything attatched. When you set your loco on the programing track I can guarantee there is nothing you can do to your decoder wiring that will have a negative effect on your loco or your decoder.
Remember, kids don’t do this without adult supervision.
See, I can be helpful in Randy’s absence.
lets hope he come home the same model railroader!!!
I knew something was missing…something just not right.
Thanks for figuring it out Chip.
Hope he’s back soon, and hope he’s enjoying himself
Maybe he finallly got his Reading T1 in the mail…? Scary thought. A T1 is a personal tax return in Canada
Sounds like what’s happened with David Thurman…Just vanished.
Thanks for the tip, Chip. And I think I’ll move the programming track to its own 1x4 so I can carry it outside and do all this while I sit in the hot tub.
