Did the retailers "SWITCHMASTER" still exist?????

Hi,

Some years ago a retailer named “SWITCHMASTER” offer Hankcraft motor display to motor our turnouts.

I didn’t see any advices about them.

Are there still existing?

Thanks.

Marc

Yes, you can still get the Switchmaster stall motor. It is also sold under the name “Torquemaster.”

Just type “switchmaster” or “torquemaster” into Google or Yahoo to find dealers. Here’s what I found by typing “switchmaster”:

When I purchased them several years ago for a club layout, they were being sold by two different individuals in the same town; one using the name “switchmaster” and the other calling it the “torquemaster.”

They are a very reliable product with one minor exception – the brass tubing they use as the linkage between the motor and turnout sometimes gets twisted off if you don’t use a high enough value resistor in the line to limit the motor’s torque.

They’re carried in the Walthers catalog under the name “torquemaster,” number 703-4052 priced at U.S. $15.95 for a single unit, or 703-4062 at $358.95 for a bulk pack of 25 units.

The products branded “Switchmaster” are still distributed by Builders In Scale.
