Did the UP patch another CNW?!?!

I was looking at the webcam, and I saw an ex, or what I think is an ex. CNW with the CNW sybmol on the nose. I say ex. because their is what appears to be a big yellow blotch under the cab. Bergie, can I please post this picture, please???

you know, there are more than the 3 CNW locos out there. It could be possible that it was one of those too.

There are lotsa engines in CNW colors, but only 2 that aren’t patched. (those 2 are DASH9s) But a CNW just isnt a CNW with that ugly yellow spot underneath the cab window.

and about 10 GP7s in pure CNW paint. some other CNW locomotives are still around and not owned by UP anymore. aside from that, CNW is as good as dead ( tch. crash 9s? yeah right. those arent even locomotives, theyre just horrendous immitations of locomotives. LONG LIVE EMD!)

Well, I am talking about currently running, and not old, but not new models, like the Dash9. Alright then. I really hope they don’t fully patch them. It was sad to see the last C40-8 go.

There are only 2 unpatched CNW locos left. One of them is 8701 and the other is 8646.

The last trace showed them as paired together and arriving at Belvidere, IL at 06:17 on the 4th.

If someone else wants to do a more recent trace, please do.

Both of them are supposed to stay on the Proviso-Belvidere round trip until the CNW heratige unit is first shown, then all three will run together for awhile. I say supposed as any MX issues wilth the two -9s will end that plan.

If the two CNW engines are on the Belvidere turn, then you didn’t see them on the web cam at Rochelle.

There are quite a few AC44s with lame patches that didn’t fully (or at all) cover the CNW logo.

It was propebly that then. I save all the interesting moves on the webcam, so I am looking at it right now. I really think it is a CNW trademark on the nose. But I am not to sure.

I’d rather see a patched CNW than one in full UP paint.
PS- saw 2 patched CNWs yesterday
