This new look and layout is a good demonstration of what happens when the technogeeks are turned loose.
I have a headache, too, but I’ll get over it. This new format, just like every other rollout I have gone through since joining in 2005, is something I’ll get used to.
I kinda think its more like: technogeeks gone wild…[:O][(-D]
Love the new look!
But I still can’t use the emoticons - or whatever you call the faces. (sigh)
After just getting an IMac with Lion on it, I can tell you that 99% of these upgrades is to make them more friendly to the Super Duper Smart telephony and pad thingies… I have seen the exact same kind of so called upgrade to the weather channel website. You get less on a page (anyone notice the forum column seems to be bit narrower after the “upgrade”?) and you have to jump through more hoops to do the exact same thing you used to be able to simply do.
I don’t mind the new “look” as such but I wish I could go into someplace and have my personal settings do what I want to do rather than cater to the “Check out my email and drive at the same time crowd”.
It took me 3 full months to figure out how to get the iMac to actually run something like I expect the Mac to run like. That was mostly accomplished by taking a sludge-hammer to the the stupid “Magic Mouse”. I really dislike what the new websites seem to be doing all over the place. Oh and don’t forget to “like” us on Space Crook, Tweeter, Idiotbook, Twit Space, and 8932 other social disease sites…[:-^][(-D]
I’ll get over it!

Moral of the story, don’t go away.
Have fun,
Richard
Definitely not techno-geeks, more liek interior designers turned loose on a web site. When techno-geeks build web sites they are plain and have very little decoration. Like mine.
