I don’t see any mfg markings on this die cast HO switcher. Can anyone ID it?
Thanks,

Looks like a John English Yardbird: http://yardbirdtrains.com/ybjenglish.htm (upper right).
Model based on Pennsy A-5 0-4-0.
Bowser also manufactured one up until recently: http://bowser-trains.com/holocos/a5/a5.htm
However, your sample is the John English one.
Hope this helps.
Thanks. I’m sure you’re right after reviewing your links. I’m not too familiar with HO/Mfgrs. I have an A5 in Lionel 0 gauge and another that needs rewiring. I don’t recall the term “yardbird” used in reference to it but rather yard goat.
As I recall, the shipyard/dry dock workers were referred to “yardbirds” as well as Charlie Parker.
Yup, looks like the John English version to me, too. Mine, never a good runner, has been “retired”.

Definitely a John English PRR A-5 “Yardbird”. The model was produced between 1950 and 1958. Your example appears to be missing the drive rods as well as its valve gear.
