son & i are trying to install miniatronics constant lighting unit 012-01
when installed, diesel runs very slow, tried resistors, with bad results. should resistors be installed on every {4} light, or any suggestions appreciated…dc, cab control, thanks
The 012-01 is a 2 diode package for 1.4/l.5V bulbs.When wired in series with the motor, drops 12V to 10.6V - no enough for appreciable slowdown. Presumably the resistor is for 16V DCC operation. It’s a single direction unit - presumably FWD only.
The Alternative is: 100-301-01 @ :$17.55 x 2 FOR 5v LED’s. It’s 3X the money but won’t slow the engine any.
