Well, to the New England regionals. B&M, Maine Central and Bangor & Aroostook bought E7s for most of their passenger trains. B&M bought the largest fleet of 'em, who had more E7s BAR or MEC?
Alco sold both RS2s and RS3s to which of these carriers?
Which of these carriers bought GP9s new?
Did any of this trio buy Alco/MLW cab units?
Alco managed to sell only one RS11 to which carrier in this group. (this road had another RS11, but it was bought for another railroad, and then “sold” to its parent road)
Which of the roads listed above bought BL2s. One had them for only a little more than a decade- the other was the last old school class I to run them!
They’d go to PRR every March and would stay until the end of August. I saw my first one before the Penn Central debacle working in downtown Erie. I was freaked, needless to say, until I got the 411 on them.
Maine Central did not buy any new RS3s. They did use an ex-Rock Island RS3 they had bought for trade in purposes, but found it was good for use. Then, they bought U25Bs 225-238 when the Rock crumbled[oops][B)][#dots][zzz][xx(][xx(]!
