Yah! I’m wondering if the sudden surge in model steam locomotives --and younger modelers putting them on their layouts–just might be due to the fact that we all like to watch something with parts that MOVE, LOL! [:P]

I’ve run into posts on Trainboard where people are scratchbuilding steam locomotives in Z scale. Can’t be one of us auld pharts. The eyes just can’t see up close without significant artificial help. Gotta be young whippersnappers doing it.

OTOH, if it’s young whippersnappers doing it, then maybe the hobby’s not dying (or even pining for the fjords). OK, it’s heresy. Excommunicate me.
