Different Licensing between U.S. and E.U.

For the specific example I’d like to use John Deere. Wiking and Herpa have come out with some really nice modern tractors (7820, 8530) but the are only licensed for sale in Europe. Why are we not able to get those models, but Athearns, without windows and added details, in the US?

That may be changing. Athearn and Deere have now parted ways.

Oh well. Time to have interesting issues in terms of licensing and copyrights…[:-^]

You will get to see more ‘red’ and ‘green’ tractors that will be generic in form but not much else----[|(]
