Difficulty logging in

Whenever I have purged my PC of temp files and cookies, I get the “you must be logged in to continue” message. OK, but when I do log in, I get the same message again. I sign in again and all is well after that. Is something wrong with my procedure?

Despite numerous purgings and cleansings, Bruce, the new system is still sticky and emits noxious odors now and then. I am having the odd issue, and so are others. Yours is a new one, so…back o’ the line, bud.

I have no idea what the deal could be, sorry. I am serious that a number of people, me included, are experiencing some odd performance out of the server. That goes for moderating, too. I haven’t gotten far with getting the attention of our hosts’ IT experts for some of them. Must be busy for them.

Yea I’ve been having issues all weekend also especially if I use the back arrow key.

I have yet ot have an issue with logging in. Although I generally do not clear cookies on a regualr basis, just temp files. The cookie for this site expires automatically after a set period, coupel of months I think, as every once in a while I get prompted to log in, but one time with my username and password and I’m in, no need to do it twice. What I suspect is that the URL of the main login page is blocked for allowign cookies, but further into the site they are allowed so it saves it the second time.

The only time I see any issue at all is if I start a quick reply and hit the back button instead of canceling - it then can take a minute or so before it goes back to the thread. As always, things to check are scanning for spyware, and make sure the site is whitelisted in any web filter or scanning software. And allow cookies.

Same as Randy here. No problems logging in. I do not go to the Kalmbach main page, and seldom stray off the Model Railroader Forum. Never have any problems.

If you haven’t, try logging in from the “General Discussion Model Railroader” page.

No issue to log in at this side of the Big Pond. I have bookmarked the MR forum and my computer remembers my password, so each time I open the page - voila!
