Digital Command Control circuit breaker from CVP Products
Many DCC circuit breakers have difficulty reseting after a short circuit when there are several sound equipped locos on the layout, due to the inrush current these draw.
The review does not mention that test.
Does this unit solve that problem?
Hello Ronald,
According to CVP, the ZoneShare uses the booster to handle surge current, or inrush current, as it’s often called when charging capacitors in sound-equipped locomotives. Because I tested the ZoneShare with CVP’s ZoneMaster booster, the unit could take up to 30 amps of surge current (the rating of the ZoneMaster) distributed as needed among the 4 zones. I had an assortment of sound-equipped locomotives spread around the various power districts on the layout, and the unit didn’t have any trouble with them. However, I did not test the ZoneShare with any other booster, so I can offer you no comparison here.
Best wishes on your endeavors.

I installed a ZoneShare about a year ago and it is excellent. Your review did not speak much to the automatic reversing block other than to say that it is there. My installation includes three power districts and a wye and I was tickled to be able run locos around the wye with no need to stop, throw switches or any of the stuff I used to have to do in my DC days. It works flawlessly.
I also appreciated the significant price savings by not having to buy the $50 case. Mine is hidden under the layour anyway!
