Digitrax DH126PS and Kato Loco

Hi all,

I got a Kato HO SD40-2 snoot nose and a SD45. They both have quick plug for installing a decoder. I got 2 of the digitrax DH126PS decoders and put them in. I am having some issues with the decoders. The locos will run fine without the body on, but once I put them on they won’t run. I discovered that when I squeeze the body of the loco it will start running. How can I fix this?

I had a similar situation with the SD45’s. The body shell didn’t quite sit down properly. You have to carefully see where the decoder fits with the body shell and weights. If I remember right, I did a small amout of “milling” to get everything to fit.
