was wondering if there are any long term issues with keeping a UP92 panel powered 24/7? I do shut down the DCS100
My UR-92 has been powered 24/7 for over a year. It is located up near the ceiling and not easily accessed. No problems to date.
Our club layout has 15 UP5’s, 1 UR91, and 1 UR92 - All powered by their own PS12 or PS14 ‘Wall Wart’ power units that are on 24X7. Some of the units are over 7 years old. We do shut down the two boosters and the command station at night.

What benefit is there to leaving the DCC stuff powered 24/7 ?

If the UP92 in powered 24/7 I can plug in my DT402d throttle when I leave the layout and the battery won’t run down ( I don’t need to bother with removing the battery)
