Has anybody diluted aleens tacky glue or Woodland scenic hob-e-tac ? Any success with it?
It seems diluting it would defeat the purpose of it, being tacky and quick setting.
And if you’re planning on using the diluted glue for scenery or ballast application, regular white glue is a lot cheaper and works very well - I buy it by the gallon.

not using it for ballast. just trees.
I use cheap, unscented hairspray to add foliage to trees, and buy it in the pump-type sprayers - when the siphon tube won’t pick-up the remainder in the bottle, simply pour the remnants into the next one. It also gives a gentler spray than the aerosol cans.
Simply stretch the polyfibre over the tree armature, mist with hairspray, then sprinkle on the ground foam - I use several colours and work over a separate spread-out newspaper for each colour - this allows you to collect the stuff which doesn’t stick and re-use it. I re-spray before apply subsequent colours, and as long as the planted trees aren’t subject to a lot of handling, they stand-up well.
