Next summer would be due time Mr. Rowe try his hand at track work under the balmy 90+ degree sun. Any track workers who would care to contact him? The job is just tiring to watch! Forget doing it!! Dirt?? … lots of dust, sweat, some oily stuff, perhaps some blood if not careful. [}:)]
I wi***hey had this show about 4 years ago, I would have called him to do my job at the county fair. He could always come and do my job however its not that dirty, i sit on my butt and watch swimmers[:D]
That is c-c-c-cold, and it might just be tough to do, but we really need to give it to Mike - get him grimey. Oil changing, pit inspections, or NJ tra***ransfer station might just be up his alley.
I heard stories from I guy I used to know…the way he made it sound it that it could be used as a form of a work-out. I know before I was hired for a train crew I was thinking of going into MOW…GLAD I DIDN’T DO THAT!!!
I’d swing a spike mall anytime rather than change generator brushes in an SW-1200. nit so much fun when you need help extricating your self from the hole !!!

How about make him change teh grease in a traction motor case or refill a lineside flange greaser. best one have him outside sandblast a locomotive for repainting. anyone of those would get him dirty. In my old field have him change a rear transmission seal on a field truck that out to get him all nice and greasy.
Want dirty? Spend thrity minutes underneath a STEAM locomotive! You’ll be dirty. Wan’t really dirty? Clean the side bearings on the driving boxes and replace the lubricating waste. Wan’t ultra-dirty? Wire-wheel a power reverse assembly.
