Disney and trains

So SHE’S the one who came up with that “Headless Horseman” that scared me out of ten years growth! :scream:
It’s all good, I forgive her! But my blood still runs cold when I think of that terrifying image and that demonic laugh that goes through you like a knife!

Or maybe French? I only say that because that’s likely an image within Epcot, and during the Christmas season (read that as starting the day after Halloween  ) they generally have Santa’s from all of the countries that make up World Showcase. I also remember seeing a “French Santa” Hallmark ornament (“Santa’s from Around the World” series) years ago and his coat, while not identical had a heavy green theme.

As to the engine and cars, I wonder if Disney ended up keeping any of the prototypes from when Disney and MTH were considering making WDW based trains in O-Gauge. Unfortunately that project never got far enough to be produced and offered to the public, but there were some prototypes made. MTH had some engines (at least 2 came up, IIRC) and also cars (2 sets of three I think came up) that eventually showed up in Cabin Fever Auctions when they were clearing out the warehouse/archives. They went for a fair chunk of change.

Problem is, nobody seriously considered making excursion cars as far as I’ve seen. Bachmann makes them in every scale but O! I used Santa Fe combination cars from the James Gang set.

Lionel produced a special General for Disneyland’s 35th anniversary in 1990. I never had one but they’re out there.
