iam looking for a dispatchers board, that hangs on wall. does anyone know were i can find one. thank you
I picked up one of those small magnetic whiteboards at the big box office supply store. It’s about 2’x3’. I used some thin (1/4" wide) black tape, commonly called Chartpak(?), to make lines to divide it up. For the trains, etc info, I used 1/2" wide magnet tape affixed with labels made on a label machine.
This method is flexible enough so you can set your board up the way you want it, then allows the info on it to be easily rearranged according to your ops scheme.
Yep. I did the same thing for my first dispatchers board.
Now that I have working signals installed and controlled by a computer, my dispatchers board is on the screen.
The LION does not have a dispatcher’s board, but him does have a Model-5 GRS machine at his 242nd Street Terminal, and him also has the dispatcher’s LOG BOOK or “Train Register” which he must fill in with each arrival and departure.
