Dito

[#ditto] Whoever made this smiley obviously doesn’t know how to spell the word ‘ditto’. Please change it.

And it matters to who?

Doesn’t matter to me. It’s been like that since before I joined, that was back in '04.

Bad grammar is just laziness.

I cannot stand driving by outdoor signs for retail stores that don’t take the time - or send someone who knows how to spell to make up their message on their message boards. Did schools stop teaching this stuff ?

You don’t run your freight cars without all the wheels on the track ?

Are we so bored this weekend that we are now commenting on smileys?[zzz]

I think we’re all tired of Winter , and I believe this weekend feels like the ‘weather turning point’ into Spring.

What Winter? I live in Calgary. It was 17 degrees last week.

Now that is nice…We’re a little more East and we got inundated last weekend. However, the temp is starting to rise ! The warm weather also appears to have awakened the trolls also.

Enjoy the weather!

I Googled DITO just to see what came up, lol. I won’t be using the Dito smiley anymore,[#oops]

[:D] You guys!

It’s Swedish! In Sweden it is dito. So you are just touched by international flavour! Enjoy it! I will certainly be using it a lot more in the future.

Rather recently, we had a new Mexican food place open in Hamilton. El Mariachi - says so right on the main sign. They also had one of those el cheapo little yellow trailer signs that you can change the lettering easily on, out front for 3 months. It said -

Sat Nite - Mary Achy Band. I went from amused to amazed.

I did too. I won’t be usuing it anytime soon. It has to do with a body part…[:-^]

Yeah, so what? I saw that definition too, doesn’t bother me any. In

“to WHOM?”

I believe that’s still illegal in 48 states. [:P][(-D][(-D]

Okay, youse guys!

Apropos the topic of THIS THREAD, but not of THESE FORUMS…

I was formerly employed by a national chain store (went in scouting for model railroad fodder, came out with a job!) that has a reversed letter in its corporate logo. One fine day about ten years ago a local female person who identified herself as a schoolteacher came storming in, cornered the store manager and spent a good quarter hour with her safeties fully raised to relieve the excess pressure in her boiler! All because a registered trade mark which had existed for longer than she had been alive had a revesed letter (enclosed in quotes) as part of it. All attempts to explain the realities of corporate logo registration to her were overwhelmed by the heat and volume of escaping steam.

She finally left, trailing a threat to sue the company to make it change to suit HER.

I drove past a newly-opened store owned by the same company just last week. The offending letter is still reversed…

So who really cares if it’s [#ditto], “” or This is the same as that which is directly above - as long as the meaning is clear.
