Division Point HO Brass Models

Hi, has anyone on the forum dealt with Division Point.

I recently purchased one of their HO brass steam engines and I e-mailed them for some information last week. I have sent them a few e-mails to no avail.

You would think if they post their Contact Information they would answer their e-mails.

I am not very impressed, dealing with Bachmann, Rapido, BLI, Intermountain they certainly value their customers and are very good about providing information when requested.

Well, this is just my opinion, but there seems to be a propensity to just try one means of communication. And when that doesn’t work the follow up is to post here suggesting that this or that vendor is lacking in customer service. I took a look at the Division Point website, http://www.divisionpoint.com/site/, and the home page lists a telephone number for technical questions. Telephoning is always my first choice if I have that option. Maybe they’ll answer, maybe they won’t. But if they don’t maybe there’s a message on their machine explaining their absence. Again, just my opinion.

Most HO brass dealers are small businesses with only a few employees. They may not get around to answer all emails, or if they do, it may not be quickly.

They often spend part of their time overseas meeting with the actual builders, or else traveling to and from shows, etc.

The best thing is to call and talk to a person–small businesses may simply just ignore some emails.
