Hi guys,
I was wondering why the show “Work’in on the Railroad” didn’t come on T.V. on the DIY channel tonight?
CW: I noticed that, too. I got back from playing Saturday Mass and was ready to curl up with a pizza and a beer and some model railroading TV for a while. Hope it’s not a harbinger of things to come–RFDTV already cancelled THE TRAIN SHOW, and I hope DIY doesn’t do the same thing to WORKIN’. I enjoy that show very much, even more now, since they’ve built their model railroad and are going out and doing shows on detailing and operations.
Maybe someone in Programming fell asleep, this weekend. Let’s hope it’s just that.

cwclark and twhite;
I’ve got good news and bad news . . . . first the good news. There is still a “Working on the Railroad” albeit they are going back over River Pass. Now the bad news. It is not going to be found on Saturdays, at least not for the duration (5 weeks) of River Pass. DIYNETWORK’s web site is not the easiest thing to follow but their schedule of a week ago put Working on . . . . at 7:30 A.M. EDT on tuesdays. That’s 4:30 A.M. here in the west. I’ll wait … at least until River Pass is passed.
Does DTV carry this show? What channel?
I suspect now that the entire series has aired twice, it will be shelved for the summer. If it is going to be renewed for a second season, it will come back in the fall.
DIY is channel 230 on Directv[:D]
Jeff
It moved to 7:30 AM EDT on Tuesdays. I assume these are just reruns of what has already been shown. Hopefully they do come back with new shows in the fall.
730 am is better than 1130 ,1200 midnight. now any ideas for an excuse for being late for work
I know how you feel Chuck. I set my VCR to record Tracks Ahead on PBS on Sunday morning and got screaming talking heads instead [:(]
I wonder if they will offer it on DVD. I would think that it wouldn’t cost much to produce and could make a few bucks for them. Of course, I could record it myself if I could remember to do so each week.
The networks are just now starting to offer video on demand so my guess is that in the not too distant future, all TV will be offered that way. VCRs and DVRs will probably become obsolete.
Really? Did you schedule the right channel? I live in Dearborn Heights and just got WOW Cable Saturday. We get 3 PBS Channels, the Detroit, Ann Arbor & HD PBS and the Detroit PBS station had it on there at 11-11:30. Amazing display of HO in Germany. That guy must have more money than Disney!!
It just started to come on Detroit’s PBS station about 3 weeks ago. Before that they had some idiot talking on a stage for 3 hours.
I can’t imagine they will offer everything ON DEMAND, unless they come up with a new ratings system. Ratings is gold for networks. And if people aren’t watching shows live, they won’t get advertisers.
A previous response went to h___ in a handbasket so will try again.
Dish network transmits DIY on Channel #111 (one hundred and eleven)
No cable, just a rusty antenna on the roof. Besides, the station I watch 90% of the time is channel 56. I must have forgoten to reset the clock on the TV for daylight savings time.[D)]
I’m use to other electronic gizmos taking care of business themself.
