…and the same length frame, etc? I have an RS-3 chassis and am considdering putting an RS-11 on it. I know the fuel tanks are different, but mainly want to know if the bodies and chassis are compatible? Thanks, Dan.
A quick look thru the books didn’t come up with a definite answer. It appears to me to be the same. I’d say go for it, if they aren’t exactly the same they’re so close that without measuring you probably couldn’t tell 'em apart.
If you can wait a day or so we have both in our museum railyard and I can measure them when I go over this weekend. J.R.
The RS-3 wheelbase is 30 feet at the truck centers, 9 feet 4 inches each truck.
The RS-11 wheelbase is 31 feet at the truck centers and 9 feet 4 inches each truck.
