I don’t have it, and I’d like to know if I’m in the minority or majority…
Matthew
No, i got the e-mail saying you will get one but none has come yet after several weeks, it may be because i’m in the UK and i might not get one because of this but who knows
I haven’t got an email saying that I will get one, does this mean I won’t?
Oh yes indeed!
But we have only a small semi-detached home, my wife and I both work form home and we are home-schooling our daughter. So I need to figure out how to make enough money to add on a third storey so I can kick everybody else out of the basement first!
In the meantime, dreams are good, and my daughter and I are planning our third layout. It is the “Princess Brenda” railroad (she is nearly 6!) which must have steam power, a turntable and round-house all to be combined with a castle on top of a mountain, a forest, a sawmill, a mill and a cave on the mountain for the dragons.
I figure that at 52 I have PLENTY of time yet to achieve what I want! Don’t I?
John
I just got it last thursday and enjoyed it so much that I kept it instead of sending it back (with the $9.00 fee of course) what startled me was that all the techniques that where taught in the video clinics i’ve known about and use the majority of them…I must be becoming an old hand at this stuff …what i liked about it was the visits to all the different layouts…it was worth the $9.00 for the video…chuck
Got mine, never got an email. I did purchase it. Kind of reminds me of the Tracks Ahead series.
Yes…I think it is well worth the price tag… backdrop and air brush segs very good…Cox 47
I got mine, I wasn’t overly impressed with it, but I am keeping it, mainly for the airbrush Segment. I plan on sending in the $9.00 soon. This is what I’ve needed, somebody to actually show me how to airbrush, not just tell me.
Noah
It was worth 9.00, are there other ones? when will we get them?
Got mine and kept it. Sent the money. Others will come about every 2 - 3 months. Cost is 21.95 + 2.95? shipping. About $25 each.
I have not gotten mine and I want it now! I am going to have to get on this!
Got mine, viewed it and then loaned it to another modeler. I paid for it, but will have to view the next one in the series before I buy it. I am not certain the quality of the video is worht $25.00.
The segments seemed kinda “chopped up” to me, and the parts where you got to view the final results of the technique ( white caps in water and the backdrop painting) were very, very short and did not show the final results very well. I’ll be taking a “wait and see” attitude…
I recieved mine. Liked the video, thought it was worth $9. But if the other videos feature mostly recycled Tracks Ahead segments, I don’t feel I should pay $25 for them.

Got mine and watched it. I liked it OK, but didn’t want to pay $25 for the next ones. I was going to send this one back, but I think I’ll keep it now. Haven’t paid the $9 (or was it $10?) for it yet, but will do it soon. Payment for this first video is actually “optional,” but I don’t feel right about keeping it without giving them what they are asking for it.
I got mine and enjoyed it, chopped up as it was…BUT! The one reason I didn’t buy it is because in all the hype / BS they want us to blindly commit without knowing $$$How much??? for future issues, eh?
man! no suscription for me, guess i wont get one, wish i could though, sounds good
Never got one. [:(!] Subscriber in good standing to MR and CTT. e-mailed: DPBvideos@cust-serv.net.
Got it, returned it. It was okay and probably worth the $9.00, but certainly NOT worth the $25 for future editions.
I got it , I thought it was good but not great. It’s segments from various videos, some going back at least 10 years - in the Winterrail one the owner says he uses Mantua engines because they’re the best running loco’s available, and George Sellios talks about future projects that he has had finished for some years now.
I didn’t send the money, and don’t intend to. US postal regulations say a company can’t send someone a product out of the blue and require them to pay for it, if you read the fine print they did say that it was “optional” to pay. Law says if someone sends you something like that, it’s a gift and you’re under no obligation to either pay for it or return it.
If future videos were $9.95 I might sign up for them, but not worth $25.
I have not gotten mine and I want it now! I am going to have to get on this!
Matt Southern Pacific Rules!!!
Scott and Matt, send them an e-mail and request a copy. Subscribers are supposed to get a copy without asking, but I can’t imagine they wouldn’t send you one if you asked.
I got mine a few weeks ago. Took a while before I had a chance to view it. It was pretty basic, but I enjoyed watching it. I will send them the $9.00 so I can preview other offerings, even though $25.00 is a little steep for my pocketbook!
Payment for this first video is actually “optional,” but I don’t feel right about keeping it without giving them what they are asking for it. (Dan)
Dan, payment is “optional” in the sense that if you keep the DVD, they won’t bill you for it. If you send the $9.00, you are subscribing to their series of DVD’s. You will get one every 2 to 3 months for previewing. If you like it, you send the fee (about $25.00). If you don’t like it, return it in the original packaging. There should be a return mailing label included with each DVD.
I think it is worth it to at least look at each offering and make a decision based on what you see. I might like one DVD that you don’t care for and vice-versa. To each his own.
Darrell, quiet…for now
