Do you recognize this train film?

Trying to help Swedish film fan.
Plot known. Film title and country of origin not known.

PLOT
It is after apocalypse or after World War X. A small band of survivors gets the idea of pushing a box car or mixed use car (passenger & express freight) back along the tracks to the nearest train station. They hope to encounter civilization by doing this.

At one point they have to ford a river. To do so they must partially disassemble the car. That is wheels and axles and doors off – to reduce weight.

When they arrive, they find other survivor groups have done the same.

THIS ALL THE INFO I HAVE. Please advise title OR further helpful plot info if that is all that YOU have. Even knowing what LANGUAGE the film is in or what ERA would be helpful. It is probably not a US film, although I can’t say for sure.

Nope, does not sound familiar. There was another film I would like to find info about that I saw back when I was young… something about a group of people stole a few boxcars from the middle of a moving train (a matter of timing with the switch), diverting them down an abandoned branchline in the desert for use as housing or something or perhaps to hold hostage for some reason. Any ideas?
