Do you run a Christmas Train?

I use to run 0-27 old Marx tinplate but it was so loud I gave all the Marx stuff to a nephew for his young boy. It did not take much speed to topple those 0-4-0 metal engines.

Also gave him my 1970’s plastic Lionel 0-27. He is having a great time.

OK, so, my first train around the tree was a Marx Santa Fe set, from my dad, who died when I was 7.

My current Christmas train, a Hawthorne Village thing, Green Bay Packer train, does not run around the tree, but on a seperate table.

I’ll be setting it up this coming Christmas (2018), but here are a few pictures from previous times.
