Do you think Dave Gunn the President of Amtrak is doing a good job in his 2 yrs in office?
I would say yes number 1 he is rebuilding Superliners even with limited funding 2. He is taking the Underfunding threats seriously alos he has done a good job with Blockheads in Congress 3. he’s fixing their insfsurcture 4. he has taking a no bull approach with the Unions and 5. He’s doing more with less

I think that he s soing the best that he can under the circunstances. Gunn brings a plain-spoken quality to the table that has been found to be necessary in order to temper some of Amtrak’s most vehement critics. I can only hope that he can keep the trains rolling so that my kids can have as many pleasant train experiences (from riding real trains) as I have had. Keep up the good work, Mr. Gunn.

Gunn is a breath of fresh air in many respects. He has an extremely tough job, and it got tougher last night at 7PM CDT.

The truly sad thing about it is that getting 8 Amtrak cars repaired today really can be a challenge. Warrington would have just parked 'em, but then he never understood or apparently cared where the company actually gets its revenue. Amtrak is great about killing the geese that lay the golden eggs.
As usual Warrington Would let them sit while he and Barbie Doll Richardson and Arlene the Moap Fraizer would get have their Starbucks while talking about how to bankrupt the Comapny. But Dave Gunn works big time he even fires Emplyoees who sleep on the Job and Volchure Boy Warrington let them Sleep

Gunn helped to greatly improve the New York City Transit system some years back.
I really respect David Gunn. When in a typical “Congressional type” meetings, he won’t “slink back” from Senator McCain’s “barbs” who is one of Amtraks’ most severe critics. Gunn is the one Amtrak leader who connotes that “Amtrak is one system, not just the Northeast Corridor!” He seems very passionate about delivering quality service and the double digit gains Amtrak has made in ridership is reflecting that. Hopefully his leadership style is “contagious” and being caught by his crew! Go Dave![;)][:)][:D]
