Can someone explain the usefulness of the friends function to me? Other than being able to see when and where one of my friends has posted, what else does it, or can it do for me?
And where’s my friend ConvictedOne been lately?[8)]

It is an act of desperation. After all who in their right mind would want a railfan as a friend?
Awww… you can be my friend, Henry.
Hmmmm…so then, .does anybody use this function? If so, for what?
I currently have 11 forum members listed there as friends, including you Norris, but have not noticed any difference in how the forum works for me as a result.
Unless of course they’re paying for gas…

[(-D] I just accepted John a s a friend. Now I have a moderator as a friend![:-,]
In my best Carl Spackler from Caddyshack voice: “So, I got that going for me!” [:-^]
I still don’t understand what the friend function does.
I’m still waiting for the “Enemy” function.
How about an “Ally” function - the enemy of my enemy is my Ally?
When is the “poke” feature going to be activated?

On another forum, a reply might go something like, “Who would want to be one?!”
Just sufficiently ambiguous in nature to be almost unanswerable. [(-D]

Ow! Now those would be usefull!!! [:-,]
From what I’ve been able to surmise about the “Friends” feature, if you go to your Home >> page (top left link in your post page or forum page) and look under the Friends’ Activiity heading, it conveniently gives you a list of what threads your “friends” have posted in for each day. Useful? For some, maybe. I don’t look at it much.

We’re all friends here so that feature is kinda redundant…
A friend is someone who will help you move a piano without expecting you to do that same for them.
I wonder how far you folk would be willing to travel to help me get that piano out of my house and into the moving van?
Me either. Maybe it gives Kalmbach a list of folks they can round up if anybody gets too far out of line… you know, accomplices and co-conspirators and such…

“Round up the usual suspects” ? [:-^]
Hmmm… come to think of it, it could make my job easier…
