Do you want to work for Model Railroader?

Model Railroader has an opening for an Associate Editor. Learn more about the position here: https://www.indeed.com/cmp/Flying-Media-Group/jobs?jk=e32b0d4b1f965336&start=0
No, you don’t get to play with trains all day, but you do get to read about them and edit stories for the magazine. We’re looking for a modeler who’s comfortable in front of a camera, has above average modeling skills, and knows how to write.
If you’re intersted, check out the link above for more details, and how to apply.
We’re hoping to hear from you!

I’d apply for this if I could do a full-time job (and if I lived in Wisconsin!).

Think they’d hire an almost-70-year-old?

My wife would kill me, but it does sound very fun!

@Pruitt That’s a great idea Mark. Your videos documenting your modeling skills are all the resume you need. I honestly think your layout journey would make for a great monthly column for years.

I would only put a U.K. theme to the magazine. Sorry.
Besides the travelling would be too much.
I dislike flying!

some of these comments remind me of the adolescents at high school

I would’ve considered it 20 years ago…

Based on the replies, I wouldn’t hire any of you.

Not sure if I could work for you, Rich! :upside_down_face:

:joy: :joy: :joy:

Of course, not everyone can make a hobby translate into a job. That might take the fun out of things.

Some of us might get a little distracted by the hobby elements and not actually work hard enough.

You get used to it eventually.
But it’s still exciting when a package comes in from a manufacturer!

Eric

How can’t it be?
Then again, my own little repair/test/etc business hasn’t been too bad. It doesn’t pay well, but it’s fun!
