Does anyone have plans or make a model of the DODX three axle flatcars that I load my STRYKERS on? I’m wanting to build the fort lewis railyard now that atlas is building the nre genset.
WHAT SCALE?
In HO scale, Walthers has an assortment of depressed center flat cars, but none are decorated for DODX. I know they did make a DODX one a few years ago because I have some of them.
Bachmann made a six axle depressed center car in their Silver Series line that was undecorated and came with or without a transformer load.
I believe both of these have been out of production for several years now, but you may be able to find some on e-Bay.
The current production of depressed center flats offered by Walthers in HO scale are their numbers 932-7885, 932-7891, or 932-5620 in various road names. They also have a 66’ heavy duty four truck flat car decorated for TTX.
I don’t know of any commerically available models of the tank flats. You might try taking a standard 50’ car and fitting it with 6 wheel trucks.

ssghassett,
IIRC, there was a small manufacturer in England (I think) that produced a limited number of DODX HO flat car kits with the 3-axle trucks. These cars were made of etched brass and perhaps some cast resin, and were a little pricey. If you Google it, it may turn up. Good luck!
cacole,
Um, the cars the OP is asking about aren’t depressed center flats. They are straight deck flats that have two 3-axle trucks (Buckeyes, IIRC). They are heavy duty and can have two M1’s chained to the deck (at about 70 tons each).

Correct the company was Andersley Kits they were about 30-40 a car 2-3 years ago I picked up two with the intentions of having a guide to build my own but that project hasnt started yet. But the gentleman who owned the business has since sold off what he could and to my knowledge no longer is producing them.
But if your really set on getting some of these cars union terminal imports are going to release a bunch of roadnames of that car, the down side will be that they probably are going to cost atleast 100-200 dollars per car http://union-terminal-imports.com/freight_in_dev.pdf
tried to go to the website but the army won’t let my system go there. is there anyone who has a spare andersley kit want to sell me one?
