I just wonderin what yall think of them???
Now THIS is an engine! and made to be run on 22"r curve’s. Do you have?
Only downside is some 3 - 8 hours spent seting the grab’s with tweezer’s…
I had one until I sold it my dear friend of mine. I was a UP! No don’t get me wrong,it was a very good Locomotive. Having only one UP & over 6 BNSF’s didn’t work out very well.
The reason I sold it was that I never did like the UP after what they did back in 2000.
Allan.
Very nice engine, lots of tiny little parts to add, especially an undec. Make sure paint clear of holes.
If you are DCC, go to the KATO website and check out the mod to the wiring to the light board posted there
I have two of them. They are by far my favorite locos.! [:D] As the other guys have mentioned, there are a lot of small parts to add, but that just adds to the beauty of the units!! They are pretty heavy, so they pull like elephants, all the while being whisper quiet, and smooth as silk! If you have at least 22" curves, you can’t go wrong with these babies.
P.S. one of my SD90s (UP 8242) is featured in my signature pic.
