I have come across a seemingly very old cast iron model train set that looks approx late 1800’s or early 1900’s. There seems to be no front to it. It says New York Central Lines on the left side of each side and 3238 N.Y. & H.R. on the right side of each side. There is a logo on one end of the engine that says Germany. I have pictures to send if anyone thinks they can identify this oddity. Thanks. My email is

The listing says standard gauge but it is really O gauge.

You do have something. Watch the price on this engine. I’m guessing it will bring $150 -200 plus. There’s a fellow that goes by sask_tinplater on the forum that can give you details about this engine. It’s highly collectable and desirable to those who collect pre-war trains. Sask may chime in on this one soon.
I’m guessing this is an engine from late 19 teens to 1920 something. So it’s old. Is yours in similiar condition? Better yet , does it run?
