1:100 1:200
I found these on a European website. They seem a bit oddball. Anybody know anything about them?[:D]

They’re not standard model railroading scales. The 1:100 is a little smaller than HO (1:87.1) and can be used in the background for a forced perspective. The 1:200 is slightly smaller than N (1:160) but larger than Z (1:220). You’re probably looking at that German website for the free containers and trailers.
Standard model railroad scales are outlined in NMRA Standard S1.2
BINGO!
1:50, 1:100 and 1:200 are scales used for architectural models of buildings etc.
I seem to remember that Preiser produces figures in some of these scales for use by architects.

That’s what I wanted to know. When you mentioned ‘architectural’, I suddenly remembered I’d seen these numbers before, in my drafting class in high school, and yes, the dinosoars were long gone by then, although you’d see an accosional FM C-liner.
Couldn’t resist that!
BTW, I went to high school in Germany.
