Does this new engine have a working coupler in the front? I already have a PCM model and also want a Genesis one. I saw one at the local club but didn’t notice the front. How hard would it be to install one in the pilot?
Thanks

A quick check at Kadee’s website shows that loco should use 148 or 158 on both ends and 153’s for closer coupling. It didn’t show any conversion instructions so I assume its just a matter of replacing existing couplers with these. Ken.
It has provisions to have a coupler on the front, but as delivered, the “coupler” is swung away. But you can move the coupler into position. IRC, there is a coupler in the box that you can install if you want one, or get a Kadee later on. Experience showed me that it can go around an 18" curve, but it looks ridiculous doing it.
