While waiting for some glue to dry on a model I thought to look up dollhouses to see if they had any “extra” items such as depot weight scale. They did, but it was in 1/2 scale, which to me not being up on dollhouse stuff thought I better ask what is 1/2 scale or do I need another? I guess the next scale would be 1"???
Ok, it is time to boo and hiss at ole Toad.
Tanks for info!
Toad (yeah I am working on my trains! [:P] at this AM)
Most doll house stuff I’ve seen is 1" scale or 1:12, pretty close to the 1:13.7 which I model, although a tad large; no worries for me as I’m not a scale freak. Trouble is, most of that stuff is pricey!
The two “dollhouse” scales I’ve run into most often have been 1/12 or 1/24. With 1/12 being by far the most prominant at shows and at hobby stores. However, there is a lot of 1/24 details stuff being sold on evilbay these days
Question about evilbay, where do you find the most stuff? I been there this AM and gettn some wild card stuff, some good and others bad. You have a link as to where you hunt them down?
I never knew dollhouse stuff could spill over into trains!
Sorry I missread the post, before I had my first cup-o-joe and my anti-grump pills, Doll House stuff is 1"=1’ . my wife has some stuff for her half -built farm house both taking up space in my train area. Still on first cup.
Some guy with the handle of “larrygscale” out of NJ has a bunch of 1:24 dollhouse detail stuff stuff under G-scale> Track Accessories Scenery…shipping on single items is a bit steep tho. I’m not sure if he’d cut you a break on multiples
