does anyone know who would make single dome tank cars that are 50 or 51 feet long and hold 20000 gallons in HO scale or where i could get them… i have looked at my lhs, walthers and athearn all i can find are either 40 foot or 62 foot

Doesn’t Atlas make a 21K gal. tanker? I don’t know the length though.

CORRECTION: Nope. I just checked the Atlas web site. They have a slightly smaller (17,600 gal.) and slightly larger (23,500 gal.) tanker available.
i have look on that website as well and the tank cars that i can find are only chemical cars and they do not have the single dome but they do have the right capacity that i need and i belive they may be long enought to model th union pacific UPT 5 through 8 but they lack the dome and i do not know how to build domes
You’re right, Asta. Sorry about that. I thought I saw domes when I was looking at them, but it was only the metal walkway where the dome would normally be. [D)]

No worries mate. Get three domeless cars the right length, one 3 dome kit, cut off domes and graft onto other cars and - job done. Or something along those lines anyway. [:)]J.R.
