Between 11:00 and 3:00 on May 24, the Central Sierra Historical Society at Shaver Lake, CA (in the mountains between Yosemite and Kings Canyon national Parks, northeast of Fresno) will steam up its restored Dolbeer donkey engine. The machine once served logging operations in the Shaver Lake area No admission fee. The occasion will be repeated on November 1.
