I saw UP 5187, UP 5127, and DOTX 220 sitting on the team track at a BNSF yard today. I wonder why it is, presumably, being pulled by UP locomotives on BNSF tracks.
Could be BNSF working off some HP Hours with UP locomotives.

What are HP hours?
Horsepower Hours. Modern Railroads share equipment much more than in the past. When a RR borrows power from another, they keep track of how much they are used, and the loaning RR can use some of the borrowers power when it needs power, this is known as “Power by the Hour” This is a VERY simplified example, but hopefully you get the basic idea, and if someone can explain it better, Please feel free to chime in.

When an engine moves from one railroad to another, either because it is part of a unit train or otherwise, is any attempt made to account for its fuel status at the time of turnover?
