Hi Guys,
I am currently building my layout & was wondering what the minimum spacing was for Autoracks on N Scale. My minimum radius is 18".
Thank you.

There is a clearance requirement that real railroads use. I believe it is either FRA or AAR in origin. Modelers use an NMRA gauge which mimics this gauge. Can’t tell you about N but in HO safe distances are 2" between centers on straight and 2 1/2" on curves. You might also want to go to the PRRT&HS web site and click on Keystone Modeler. This is a free downloadable publiction of the society and the latest issue has a large article about laying prototypical track for the PRR including distances between tracks.
