Double Slip Switches DCC Friendly

Is there any special wiring that I need to do when I install these switches? Also, I am installing a 3-way switch that is DCC friendly. Do I need to do anything special with this? Thanks in advance to all that respond to these questions.

I have 4 Peco double slips in a row, they connect my double track main and a branch line to the yard throat. They were originally isolated from all the feeder tracks and wired to a separate rotary cab switch for DC operation. With DCC, all I did was set all cab switches to one cab, (the DCC input), with no changes to the double slips everything worked, so I would say, if using the Pecos, they’re DCC friendly and don’t require any special handling to make them work.

Double slips are naturally “DCC Friendly”. I use a Walthers #8 double slip on my Digitrax Zephyr layout, and I had to do nothing to it. I just hooked it up like any other switch and it works just fine.

See, the point rail and the rail it touches on a double slip are always the same polarity. Therefore, it’s always DCC Friendly.

I have a #6 Walthers “DCC friendly” in my yard and have had no problems with any locomotives going through it. No special wiring. You do need to power all four legs.
