These are interesting looking boxcars. Does anyone know what they are for?
They passed through Shreveport, LA, the other day.

Got a link to a picture?
Sorry- no pictures. It was a drive-by.
if you posted the pictures, the black helicopters would be circling your house and Men In Black would follow you everywhere you went. These “interesting looking boxcars” have shackles inside for very insidious purposes.
Send a note to Carl Shaver (CShaveRR). He has direct access to an equipment register. “It Tells All Things. It knows where you live, what you think, what you do and where you go.” Oh, espeefoamer has already talked about that.
I don’t show a DR 410 in existence. But cars in DR series 416-423 are all-door box cars. A few months ago we had a thread on these cars, which are AAR Mechanical Designation LU. They are virtually obsolete nowadays. The idea was to be able to expose any part of the car side for unloading (up to half of the car at a time). The cars were basically bulkhead flat cars with roofs, from which doors were hung.

The funny thing is that in Europe that is the only type of boxcar you see, except for very old cars.
