Dream Plan Build Video Series

Hi,

Does anyone know where the Index|Table of Contents can be found on the web? Also, can a person order an individual DVD?

Trains.Com and Google have been unsuccessful for my search.

Thanks,

Joe

Why don’t you just call Kalmbach and see what they can do for you. 1-800-533-6644…chuck

Thanks Chuck, but I’d really rather point and click. Surely it is out there somewhere??

Joe

There isn’t one that I am aware of. Long ago, I suggested to MR after the second of these that they need an index of what’s on what DVD and that it would be nice if each DVD would have a table of contents file available without needing to play the DVD. No response. NADA.

So, I’ve been religiously building my own index for all the volumes I have purchased which is now at 14 or so.

If you like, I can send you a spreadsheet with the entries or just a print for that matter. I have the chapters listed and also the PDFs, by volume #.

Let me know. Ken

Hi Ken,

I think that many of us would like an Index of “What’s on What” Dream-Plan-Build DVD Series. Why not Post a copy on the Forum? I think it would be great if the Forums would Post a list of all the Threads for a given Month. I have trouble searching for a given Thread, even a week old. They could have a double numbered list “forward and backward” in time. Bob Hahn

Ken,

What a delightful and friendly offer! I’d love to have a copy of it.

Thanks!

Joe

I will second that big time, if you could post your index on here i think you would make a lot of people really happy sir, and that list of threads thing sounds good to!.

Be happy to, but, uh, how would I do that as I think it would be an awful lot to put here? It is like 393 lines for 12 main volumes, a DCC volume and several project volumes.

Ken

Put each volume information is a separate post within the same thread…

DOH!, foggily (a word?) thought of that while I was falling asleep last night. I’ll have to see how it will format in a cut and paste. Will probably have to reformat it a little. I like it in a spreadsheet as I can sort it any which way when I put all the volume content descriptions together. Too bad they don’t have a files section here like they do on the Yahoo user groups – that would be ideal for so many things we all could share.

I’ll try one later today when I have more time. Ken

OK, all of the volumes I have indexed are under the post called: Dream-Plan-Build Video Series Table of Contents.

If this senior mind can remember, and if I can find this post again, I’ll add subsequent volumes I get to that post.

Hope you find it useful.

Ken

ps sorry, as I feared, it doesn’t format as well as I’d like, but what posted isn’t what it looked like as a preview. But, you should be able to easily figure out the display when a line splits into 2.

Ken

Ken:

You have outdone yourself with the DPB table of contents posting! Very good!

Now why couldn’t Kalmbach have added that to their web site somewhere? Very mysterious why they would be keeping such a thing under wraps – posting this info on the internet would be an excellent use of the medium.

Thanks Joe, for the most kind words. Yes, I often wonder why they haven’t made the info available. I think it would help them in the promotion and sale of the series. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I suggested it to them verbally and also in response to a surveyas well. Never a comment back though, so I have no idea why they don’t make it available.
