You don’t have to send any of that DVD back, if you so choose. Kalmbach made a marketing decision to mail those out, unsolicited by you. That means you can keep it without paying for it. But, if you like it, you can do as I did and send in your money. You can keep the medallion no matter what you do with the DVD.
Sending the DVD back if you don’t pay for it is the honest thing to do, especially since Kalmbach included a postage-paid return label, but postal regulations say you’re not obligated to send back or pay for anything you receive in the mail unsolicited.
I sent the DVD back but kept the medallion for the simple reason that there was no mention of the medallion in the literature that was enclosed with the DVD, so it is an implied gift.
So from your reasoning, keeping the unsolicited DVD that you don’t have to return would be dishonest? Can’t figure that out. MR took the chance that people would send the DVDs back; some won’t some will. How can either way be considered honest or dishonest? They didn’t ask you beforehand if you would send it back. It was their choice and risk.

There is nothing dishonest about keeping it. It may be the Minnesota nice thing to do. Also you then get more of them.
