Has anyone else got the dvd from CTT, I just watched mine for the first time . I think there fantastic and can’t wait for the next one.Well worth ten bucks . It might be something I can pass on to other newcomers to the hobby too. Like the coins also. What did you guys think? THX, Ron.
I do not like the way they market them. SEnding something that was not asked for and then demanding payment is stupid. they left off an option of buy one AND not being bothered with additional book club style send back the ones you don’t want tatic. It is out of my way to run to the post office to send back junk that I did not ask for anyways. I will pay for the first one when I get around to it,please do not send anymore DVDs if I want one I will tell you. I am disabled and this scheme is an inconvienace to me and somewhere I have heard that by law if some one sends you product that you did not ask for the company is out of luck money wise. CTT is a great mag. and the DVDs are a good idea but the marketing stinks. hope you do not take it personaly but there is my 2cents worth.
I got one of “free” DVD’s lest fall. I remember several options, one was you could keep it or return it. I chose to keep it and not pay since I did not order it. I wrote to them and informed them of my decision. I have been a subscriber to “Trains” since 1969 and to “CTT” for at least six years and did not feel that I owed Kalmbach anything. I also have many of their other publications.I recieved at least six “requests” for payment. I still renew subscritions to CTT, TRAINS, and CLASSIC TRAINS. And I still have the DVD.
I have an older version.
