Looks like the newer bit has straight flutes instead of the spiral ones on the old one. The spiral flutes don’t lose contact with what you are cutting. As you can picture, the straight flutes allow the material to jam when it hits the next flute. There are a number of manufactures of cutting bits that would have the spiral flute type. I got mine from a local hardware supplier. They have many more options than Dremel. You could also use a single ended 1/8" tool bit made for milling machines.
Spiral flutes definitely cut smoother. Jerry
This sounds like something that I would being tro the attention of Dremel. I Know what the other fella is saying. A curved flut is better. Here in Canada eh---- we haves us a canadian tire stoe that sells its brand of rotory tools. I have found them to be as good as or better than dremel. The prices are a bit cheaper too. Iwould contact dremel though, or find yourself another brad that would offer what you need.
Since you’re in the Netherlands the shipping charges if you were to order from a company in the U.S. such as Sears or Home Depot would be outrageous.
There are several manufacturers who make rotary tools that are similar to a Dremel, and their bits fit into any of the other brands of rotary tools.
Check with local hardware stores in your area for rotary tool supplies for brands other than Dremel and you may be able to find a bit that suits your needs.
