Dry Track cleaning car manufacturers

Sorry for having to ask such a basic question. I have a CMX cleaning car (HO) which I really like. I ran it today w/alcohol and as it passed by I ran a while cloth over the cleaned track and it came up with two black streaks. So I am looking for a dry cleaning car to put behind it to clean off the goop left by the CMX. I know there are numerous ones out there but I don’t recall any manufacturer names. If someone could give me a couple of choices I would appreciate it.

Using metal polish would eliminate the need to use the track cleaning car and save the big busks to be used for another engine!

I have not had to clean the rails since I first used metal polish back in July 2003.

Your choice!

BOB H - Clarion, PA

James - Tks that was the one I was thinking of but couldn’t remember the name.

Bob - Tried the polish didn’t work. I live in the Florida keys. Humidity is 80+ most of the year. Attached shed where the layout is is not climate controlled except a window AC unit I run when I am in the room. Very hot and very humid in the layout room most of the year. I spent about an hour polishing the tracks with the MAAS metal polish. Six days or so later back to intermittant operation. So now I just run my CMX every other day to keep it clean. Maybe when we get back up north and buy our new home things will be different. But for now I need something that will clean up after the CMX. Would be nice though to clean it once and forget it for awhile.

Here is the one I have used for a long time. It uses a bright boy under it and works real well.

Tks Jim - I notice it has horn hook couplers? Can you put Kadee #5’s on it and are they body mounted? Again thanks
Terry[8D]

The couplers are body mounted, and #5’s will fit. Here is the other road name, which shows KD’s or some type of clones on it.
