Dumb Thing Not To Do:

Forgetting to apply mold release before pouring the second half of the mold.

So happy to hear that someone else does that.I’m sure you don’t do it as often as I, but still nice to hear… [;)]

My dumb thing was putting the dog training duck scent bottle in the medicine cabinate next to the after shave without realizing both bottles are about the same shape and color. It’s not train related, but still dumb. That stuff is hard to wash off…

I guess I’ll contribute my “Dumb Thing Not To Do”. I used to have my Aristo Train Engineer (the old kind) and 10 amp power supply in a large plastic box that had a loose fiting lid. I kept the box outside near my RR. Even though the lid was loose, it kept most rain, etc. out. Then one summer night we had a typical Florida thunder storm-lots of thunder, wind, and lightning. You can see where this is going. The wind blew the lid off and the rain soaked the Train Engineer reciever. [banghead] Aristocraft fixed it though.[:D] After the whole event I put a few bricks on the lid for weight. Then I moved the whole power supply set up inside.

When pruning trees make sure you not only plan & allow for the fall & bounce always plan for a second bounce. I didn’t and my trestle & track got slightly bent. [:slight_smile:]
