I like how you were able to use the dark hills in the background as a ‘backdrop’ for the entire length of the train to isolate/ emphasize and make the lighter gray tones and brighter colors of the train stand out - as a result, there’s an alternating pattern of light train, thin band of dark hills, light sky in distance, and lastly the dark storm clouds on top, etc. Otherwise, the gray containers would have blended in with the light sky too much. The photo might have been a little more dramatic with some direct sun on the trai - esp. the bright yellow UP units - but you probab[swg]ly knew that already, and we all know both the sun and the train’s timing are beyond your control anyway - not sure which one is farther, though . . . [swg] Maybe let the locomotives get a little farther to the left so that there’s more of the bulk of that hill behind them ? But I’m critiquing the work of a master here, and I’m not sure that would be a better photo anyway . . . [:-^]
