Duncan, BC LHS?

With the closing of the LHS’s in both Victoria and Nanaimo, it would be nice if a new one started up and I have heard a rumor that indeed a LHS is now open in Duncan.

So does anyone know of this rumor is true and if so where it is?

I will be on the Island at least once per month for the rest of the year and if I can find the time would like to give this place a visit.

Thanks

I’ll ask my decoder installer, who lives in Nanaimo, what he knows.

(later) Here is a link. He says it has been open since ‘79, and has every kit from Walthers’ catalog and tons of WS stuff.

Thanks Crandell,

1979? I lived on the Island till '91 and never heard of it. Even spent time in the Duncan area (family had business in the Cowichan Valley and a summer place at Genoa Bay). But of course Reg and then Ken kept me happy, so I was not looking for someone else [:)]

Thanks Scott,

Most of my trips to the Island are short, to visit with my elderly father in Victoria or for business reasons further up Island (I’m going to Woss in November, hope the train is running!), but I will try and stop in when I get a chance. Glad to see someone filling that need on the Island again.

Glad to hear of your existence Scott I often visit Duncan to see family there. So I will definitely drop by next time.[:)]
