Durbin & Greenbrier Valley sends FP7 to Cass for maintenance
Bringing the FP7 from the connection with the West Virginia Central down to the Cass shops meant bringing the diesel down the Cass Scenic mountain trackage which involves two switchbacks, plenty of sharp curves and lots of 6+ percent grades. Not a usual route for a flat land diesel.
Would be really cool to see if they used a Shay to move it

Sounds like the crews on Vancouver Island’s Alberni Pacific are being very careful to avoid any chance of a wildfire getting started by anything on their railroad. Hi Five’s and Kudo’s to you all. I wish everyone was this responsible.
