For more than half a century when visiting Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry, the first exhibit I would head toward was the great “O” scale train display. That was torn down in 2002 to make way for an even more magnificent “HO” setup. It models the route from Seattle to Chicago and includes the Chicago Loop’s subway and “el”.
A marvelous DVD video with commentary has been made of the exhibit. This real treat is called The Great Train Story: the magnificent model railroad display at the Museum of Science and Industry.
